1,052 pass board exam for mechanical engineers

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced last night that 1,052 out of 2,304 examinees passed the Mechanical Engineer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Mechanical Engineering in Manila, Cebu, and Davao this month.

On the Board of Mechanical Engineering which gave the licensure examination are Engr. Alfredo Y. Po, chairman; and Engr. Jovencio C. Palisbo, member.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees will be held before the Board in Manila on Monday, Nov. 21, 1 p.m., at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel; in Cebu City on Saturday, Nov. 26, at the Grand Convention Center, Cebu City; and in Davao City on Thursday, Dec. 1, 6 p.m., at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City.

Registration for membership with the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers Inc. (PSME) will start on Nov. 3.

The top performing schools in the exam are University of the Philippines-Diliman, Ateneo de Davao University, Batangas State University (Pablo Borbon M.I.T.), and Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas.
